After seeing the peak of registrations (with over 128 thousand active patients in 2011), Colorado medical cannabis program has been steadily declining.

The data on medical marijuana patients in Colorado reveals notable trends in several counties. El Paso County consistently shows the highest number of patients, with a peak in 2021 at almost 26 thousand. Denver County has also seen significant figures, peaking at 19 thousand in 2013.
